Security and Society in the Information Age

Security and Society Journal

This journal annually brings together a unique series of research papers created by talented students participating in the Security and Society in the Information Age program held at Civitas University in Warsaw, Poland.

This program is organized jointly by SRAS and Civitas University and is composed of summer school courses, semester or academic year study abroad opportunities, as well as an optional internship organized by the Terrorism Research Center (TRC) – a leading think tank and research unit within Civitas University.

The journal is a collaborative work published by the Terrorism Research Center in professional volumes. Focusing on changing paradigms in security, the students and their expert mentors provide insight into modern issues such as cybersecurity and information security, propaganda and fake news, cryptocurrency, radicalization, democracy, AI, and the role of the mass media in shaping public opinion.

Contributors additionally make recommendations for state policy makers and for citizens living in modern societies confronted with various security threats.

Volume 8 (New, 2025) can now be download in PDF.
