Abigail Stowe-Thurston is a sophomore pursuing a degree in Russian and Political Science at Macalester College. She spent the year of 2011-2012 studying in Kazan, Russia as a recipient of the National Security Language Initiative Scholarship. She hopes to return to Russia in the near future to continue her study of the language and culture.
